Abused OFW Seeks Help for Dreadful Work Conditions in Saudi, Hopes to Go Back Home Soon

Yet another overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in the Middle East is asking for help so she could go back home, hopefully soon, because she could no longer bear the harsh working conditions she has to deal with at her abusive employers’ home.

In a video she posted on Facebook in hopes that it would reach the authorities and veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo, Sol Regina M. Mendoza cries as she narrates the dreadful life she lives in Saudi.

While it is true that she and many others like her are in the Middle East to work as domestic helpers, she’s complaining because what she’s going through right now is truly inhumane.

In the past months, Mendoza had to work until as late as 1AM and wake up 3 hours later at 4AM to start another day. Can you imagine how difficult it can be to only have 3 hours of sleep per day? Then, she has so much to do in the house that her hands and feet have become filled with cracks and blisters.

Mendoza did request her employers/sponsors to buy her medicine for the blisters but they haven’t gotten her anything even if it meant that she suffers every single day!
