Canada-based OFW airs complaint about bad experiences in workplace due to Leni Robredo video

When Robredo’s “palit-ulo” video message to the United Nations came out on social media, many netizens warn the public to brace for the worst.

The repercussions of Robredo’s video message could hurt not just the country’s trade with the world as a whole but including the OFWs on a personal level.

True enough, the EU have threatened the Duterte administration to cancel the trade perks given to the Philippines because of human rights issues which was raised by Robredo in the video message.

The cancellation of trade perks with the EU might not be felt directly by many Filipinos but the OFWs located in different parts of the globe are starting to feel the repercussions of Robredo’s video message.

This is demonstrated in the post shared by Asst. Secretary Epimaco Densing III about an OFW based in Canada who called over the phone, telling him about her bad experience lately with Canadian friends and employer in light of the Robredo video to the UN. Check out the post below.

“Just minutes ago, an OFW (naglakas loob lang tumawag 😊) from Montreal, Canada (FB friend) called me up and we spoke for close to 20 minutes. She shared her bad experiences recently with her Canadian friends and employer after the video of VP Robredo. She’s been defending our country from the bad image VP Leni created when she maligned our country before the UN Conference in Austria. This OFW feels very sad, angry, and tired of explaining left and right of the true improved peace and order situation in our country. She was close to crying. I, too, was in the verge of crying. She is volunteering to execute an affidavit, together with other Filipinos in Canada, that they’ve been negatively affected by the “fake news” of VP Leni. VP Leni and the Liberal Party members have lost their conscience. Palibhasa mayayaman kayo!! Mag-sorry kayo sa 10 milyong OFW na pinahirapan ninyo dahil sa paninira nyo sa bansang Pilipinas! This is already beyond Pres. Duterte!!#ImpeachLeni”
