Would you believe that Leni Robredo did scavenge for items daughter Aika could use in her Harvard apartment?
If this was true, kudos to Leni for being a believer of the saying that ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’.
In her Sunday radio show, Leni said she spent two days in Boston to help daughter Aika settled in Boston.
Like any doting Mom, she admitted on her radio show that she turned to scavenging for American trash that Aika could use in fixing up her Harvard apartment.
Doubt it? You may watch the video below before we proceed.
Done? This Leni’s new drama as her critics say is hogwash.
Well, that’s the gist of the Facebook post of, who else but Fil-Am Edwin Jamora who refuses to buy Leni’s new drama.
Read the post here.
Did you hear the radio broadcast of Leni Robredo about her trip to Boston?
Ang tunay nito which is the unwritten rule here sa pag-tapon nang basura, we are told that yong mga karton kelangan plastado at itatabi sa may trash bin. Ganito ang rule dahil baka daw pwede pang i-recycle ang mga yan and there are people who pick them up!
It is true that apartment dwellers, or kahit na homeowners, when they move out they simply throw everything in the trash bin. Ginawa ko rin yan! Iniwan ko sa sidewalk ang Lexus ko when I moved out. O, laban?! We put it on the sidewalk or beside the trash bin dahil normal yan dito! It’s also a business to some who’d gather them and turn it into something of value.
Puh-leeze! It is highly doubtful na kakal-kalin nila ang trash-bin. I doubt that. Over the top man so lintian na sinabi Buro-hilda!
Hey Boston! Can you share us pictures of the Vice-President of the Philippines making kalkal de basura por hanap des muebles fuertes de las artes de junanaks de leche con lintian su zabrayninanya?!
Let us read the comments of Filipinos living in the US and see if they agree with Edwin Jamora.
Ynit Skcor debunks Robredo’s claim: “This is not true.. nobody would pick up garbage here in America but the mentally ill people.. I live in a state next to Boston but the local government here would penalized you… if residents leave their garbage in their yards, if there are big garbage say furniture, appliances, electronics there is a pick up or either the residents would call the miracle hill ministries, salvation army, goodwill etc donation centers where the less fortunate people get their stuff, literally speaking only mentally ill people would dare to Kalkaska the garbage…. if you classify people here as homeless, they can still afford to buy stuff because these are people who receives benefits from the government, there is no poor people here maybe the lazy ones but still they receive benefits from the government, homeless people by choice but there is affordable housing for the homeless here also the elderly, but they choose to be homeless most are mentally ill, garbage is garbage here!”
Meimei Hammer says: “And she wants us to believe that for 2 days she and her daughter were scouring trash bins? Oh come on! Maybe, just maybe, she saw 1 item thriwn by a neighbor or dormmate and she picked it up. But for 2 days?
Robe Gabuelo says: “Repurpose Refurbished Recycled that’s a trend sa US Lalo na if Reclaimed wood na way back 100 years old na”
At pinipick up agad ng garbage truck nila. Hahaha”
Meanwhile, Thinking Pinoy posted a meme to express his take on the matter.
Let me end the post with Maharlika’s video spoofing Leni Robredo’s claim.
