Magdalo’s Gary Alejano slams Duterte’s manner of wearing a combat uniform, describing him ‘laxatibo and lousy’

When the photo of Duterte sporting a combat uniform circulates, haters had a field day criticizing his attire in mocking tone.

But when a Congressman calls the President ‘bugoy’ to describe the manner Duterte wore the combat military uniform, his supporters won’t take the incident sitting down.

In a Facebook post, Gary Alejano of the Magdalo Party compared Duterte and Indonesia’s Widodo manner of wearing combat uniforms in an attempt to embarrass the President Duterte before the social media.

He said Duterte’s manner of wearing the military uniform is a reflection of the state of the Philippine military organization.

Grabbed the picture below from one of the posts in FB. A president has the discretion in the way he dresses up but when wearing a military uniform there is a manual in the AFP that specifies how to wear one including the placement of awards and decorations.

The manner by which a uniform is worn indicates discipline of the wearer and the organization or units he represents. Minsan makarinig tayo ng term sa AFP ng “laxitibo”, “lousy”, na ibig sabihin kamalasan at mag ayos ayos ka.

If we have to compare in the picture below how the two presidents (PHL & Indonesia) wear military uniforms, you can see the contrast. I suggest that military advisers of PRRD take note of this. May tamang panahon at okasyon naman ang pagiging “bugoy” which PRRD wanted to project himself…

Mocha Uson quickly dismissed Alejano’s jabs at Duterte as cheap publicity stunt since the Magdalo representative is seeking a higher post come 2019.

“Nag-iingay yan dahil mukhang tatakbong senador yan. Sa tingin po ba ninyo ay may maloloko pa yan?”

Tom Fabella defended the President in the comment section. “This may be true if a soldier is in a garrison, but in the battlefield which I doubt if Rep Alejano himself has personal combat experience, this norm is no longer followed a classic example is our elite Scout Rangers and Special Forces these elite forces has the liberty to grow their hair and mustache in the field which you can not do in a Garrison duty where all uniforms must be in its finest and shiniest in short snappy President Widodo is in a Parade not in a combat area while Pres Duterte is in a combat zone hence whatever his attire that is comfortable to him is justified, A soldier does not wear his medals in combat, If you are a medal of Valor awardee will you wear it in Marawi while fighting the Maute/ISIS/Abu Sayyaf, Instead of finding fault to our Presidents actions why not join him him in neutralizing this threat after all he is probably the only President that went all the way to the battlefield to oversee his forces this alone is commendable to me as a former soldier.”

Henry Bernardino remarked: “Superficial lang naman halos lahat ng banat ng dilaw. Puro “good looks” at “presidential” ang alam, parang nung si Abnoy ang presidente, puro porma pero walang substance. Iba si Digong. Wala syang pakialam how he looks or what is said of him. Ang magsilbi sa bayan at magtrabaho ng marangal at may paninindigan ang importante sa kanya. Substance over form.”

Duane Estopin he said he’ll take Duterte over the likes of Alejano and Trillanes any day. “Yes he’s still the best for me, compared to you and trillanes who wear military uniform neatly but did not use it well to serve your country and to those politicians that you called disente but stabbing and killing people beause of their corrupt ways and worst protecting illegal drugs.. KAHIT NAKA HUBAD PA SI PDU30 siya parin iboboto ko..”
