Seems like Muammar Gaddafi is smitten by former United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.
On August 24, Libyan rebels captured his stronghold of Bab al-Aziziya, situated in the southern suburbs of Tripoli.
As they ransacked the building, they discovered a photo album full of pictures of Condoleezza Rice though it could not be confirmed that the album had actually belonged to Gaddafi.
In a 2007 interview with Al Jazeera, Gaddafi said this about Rice:
“I support my darling black African woman. I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders… Leezza, Leezza, Leezza… I love her very much.”
In 2008, Rice made the first visit by a U.S. Secretary of State to Libya in more than 50 years. At their meeting, Gaddafi shook the hands of the male members of Rice’s staff but not Rice, instead offering the traditional greeting of his hand over his heart for her.
The wealthy Gaddafi then showered her with gifts, including a diamond ring in a wood box, a locket with his photograph and a DVD with a musical instrument, with total value $212,225.
The deposed Libyan leader is currently hiding with a $1.7 million price tag on his head to whoever who can capture him, dead or alive.
