Netizens, socmed blogger react to Trillanes’ waive to AMLC: “Useless waiver. For PR purposes only!”

In response to allegation of owning offshore bank accounts, Trillanes came out with a bank waiver, allowing the bank accounts to be scrutinize by AMLC.

In return, Trillanes issued a challenge to Duterte to do the same.

“Twelve ito lahat. So, ito na, just to show wala ako tinatago, ito ay open for scrutiny. [Link here]
However, netizens and social media bloggers do not bite Trillanes bait.

Socmed blogger RG San Luis fell short of calling Trillanes challenge top Duterte as cheap stunt. “AMLC has no authority over foreign banks for the benefit of Filipinos who continue to be morons who believe in Trillanes. The AMLC only has jurisdiction over Philippine banks. His waivers have no effect whatsoever on his overseas bank accounts.

As my grandfather used to say “usa tu cerebro primero antes de abrir la boca.” [Link here]

Christian Gerard echoed RG San Luis’ sentiment: “Useless waiver. For PR purposes only. As long as there no cases filed, the purpose of trililing is to spite and challenge PRRD. The waiver signed by PRRD is still in effect and active.”

Derf C Ademol commented: “Ombudsman at AMLA eh wala namang kaso, anong gagawin dyan toilet paper after your publicity.

Belinda Coronado is amused of Trillanes’ stunt. “Ha ha ha ayan nga pinagtataka ko ang lakas ng loob nya mag waiver eh wala naman bisa yan sa ibang bansa they have their own jurisdiction at no need sa ganyan makikita mo talaga if magkano ang pera nila through tax.”
