‘Nice one sir pilot ng Cebu Pac… Great job!!!’
Netizen Kristine Dungcs commented after the story of Cebu Pacific pilot was posted on Facebook by airline passenger Ritche Pabilonia on August 1, 2017.
According to Pabilonia, he was traveling to Davao City from Zambonga City on board Cebu Pacific flight 5J394 when he witnessed this heartwarming story.
Just before the plane proceeded to the runway for takeoff, a cabin crew announced, “Cebu Pacific welcomes all military personnel onboard the said flight, and that they Support Our Troops.”
After take-off and the seat belt sign was switch-off, a cabin crew approached the Marine Officer and offered him a snack courtesy of the pilot. I heard her saying, “Anong Gusto nyong Meryenda Sir?”
The Marines captain said something but Pabilonia did not clearly hear what the Marines official told the crew.
But the OP overheard the crew telling the Marines officer this, “Nakita kasi kayo ng Piloto pag akyat kaya bigyan ko daw kayo ng meryenda.”
“The Marines choose something to eat and drink,” Pabilonia narrated.
Here’s the post below.
Yesterday, August 1, 2017 while i was onboard Cebu Pacific flight 5J394 from Zamboanga City to Davao City, and before the aircraft Taxi out, the cabin crew announced ” that Cebu Pacific welcomes all military personnel onboard the said flight, and that they Support Our Troops”.
i was seated next to a Philippine Marine Officer (a Captain) who was wearing a Battle Dress Uniform (BDU).
after take-off and the seatbelt sign was switch-off, a cabin crew approached the Marine Officer and offered him a snack courtesy of the pilot. I heared her saying, Anong Gusto nyong Meryenda Sir?
I didn’t hear his reply, but the crew answered, Nakita kasi kayo ng Piloto pag akyat kaya bigyan ko daw kayo ng meryenda.
the Marine choose something to eat and drink.
Pinauna ko sya bumaba para hindi nya mapansin ang trolley bag ko.
Before exiting the front door he said to the crew, Pakisabi sa Piloto salamat sa meryenda. Sumagot naman ang crew ng Yes sir and Goodluck sir.
While on the escalator, he said to the others, libre pala ang meryenda kapag naka uniform ka. May sumagot na isa “Bakit ako sir hindi binigyan.”
I am glad that the pilot showed his appreciation to the soldiers with that simple treat.
Here are photos shared by Ritchie Pabilonia, who happened to be a military officer too but was not wearing a military uniform on that flight.
