An open letter asking Pres. Duterte why an PDP-Laban congressman has not been named a drug lord coddler in Iloilo City circulates online.
An obviously unhappy Duterte supporter Rommel Ynion took to Facebook bringing up several issues against former Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Trenas and now a Congressman whom he accuses as a drug lord coddler in Iloilo City.
According to him, the slain drug lord Melvin Odicta was already the biggest drug lord in Iloilo City when Trenas was the Mayor of Iloilo City for 3 consecutive terms.
“It was no less than Trenas who introduced Mabillg to Odicta. Mabilog would not have known Odictas if Trenas had not given his blessing to their relationship,” Ynion wrote.
Ynion wrote that “Trenas was not just an ordinary friend of the entire Odicta family. He was their Godfather.”
Ynion invites the public in general and Pres. Duterte in particular to look the photos closely and see the special relationship between then Mayor Jerry Trenas with the family gathering of an extremely well-known drug lord family.
In these photos, the truth shines through. This is the blessing of the Pedro Odicta Chapel in honor of the slain drug lord’s father. What was the congressman doing in an intimate gathering of an extremely well-known “drug lord” family? Your guess is as good as mine, Mr. President.
On Trenas switching allegiance from LP to PDP-Laban, Ynion wrote:
Trenas is a certified member of the Yellow Army and an enemy of Duterte supporters. What is he doing now in PDP Laban, the party identified with you, Mr President?
“In one of his campaign speeches, Trenas even challenged you to a fist fight, Mr President. He even blocked Duterte related gatherings and even rallies by not giving permits,” Ynion wrote.
“We need fairness in the treatment of your original supporters, Mr President. I am one of them. We campaigned hard for you. Almost all the poll watchers that guarded your votes were my people, Mr President,” Ynion begged Duterte for a sense of fairness.
“I spent my own money to support you while at that time Trenas did nothing but try to stop you dead in your tracks. Where is justice here, Mr President?” Ynion asked.
Ynion ended the post by imploring President Duterte to quickly act on the issue for the peace of mind of the loyal Duterte supporters in Iloilo.
“We need clarity with regards to this impostor, Mr President. Trenas is a drug lord protector and a certified enemy of Duterte supporters in the last campaign.
Please help us on this matter, Mr President.”
As of this writing, no reaction yet from the camp of Rep. Jerry Trenas with regards to the allegations hurled by Rommel Ynion, who was a former mayoralty candidate in Iloilo City.
