Scout ranger’s willingness to go to battle again after almost getting blinded by Maute sniper inspires social media

Living up to the motto of the Philippine Scout Rangers, “We strike”, Private First Class Allan Benbinuto wants to return to the battlefield as soon as his injury heals.

The Facebook page “Scout Ranger Books” shared his conversation with the wounded Benbinuto on Facebook, perhaps to rally Filipinos behind the war on terror rather than criticize it.

According to the OP, he asked PFC Benbinuto if he will still return to the battlefield despite his injury and the latter said yes without hesitation.

PFC Benbinuto was hit by sharpnels after the Maute sniper pierced through the concrete wall, thus injuring his eyes.

The OP said, this is not the first time the PFC Benbinuto got wounded in battle. In Basilan, Benbinuto got hit in the thigh. Then in Sulu, he was hit in the hand.

Most notable is the Scout Ranger’s attitude and faith in God that also caught the attention of the OP.
