As the lights turned on and nap time ended at Presbyterian Day School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, something beautiful appeared. Two little girls, one African American and the other Caucasian, were holding hands while sleeping. Their teacher, Olivia Ellis, was so touched by the moment that she quickly snapped a picture.
Everyone at Presbyterian Day School fell in love with the photo. So much so, that they actually decided to post it on their official Facebook page. They used the follow description to describe the photo: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. – 1 John 4:7
Within hours, the photo started going viral on Facebook. People from all across the United States started commenting on the beauty of the moment.
This just goes to show us prejudice is a learned behavior, it’s not born within us. I prayer these babies stay friends for life. – commented Kristen Carnegie on Facebook.
These little girls don’t see skin color, hate, or any sort of factor that divides us as people. All they see is love and friendship in each other. They’re a shining example of what our society should be about.
