A Korean woman decided to donate cash worth 2 million won in the Downtown Square in Seoul, Korea. However, the people just looked at the cash on the floor and passed by it.
It was shocking that no one dared to pick some cash. Passersby just took photos of the scene in front of them.
Later on, it was revealed that it is illegal to pick up unattended money in South Korea. Anyone who will violate the law would be criminally held liable for theft.
The 56-year-old woman decided to throw an estimated money of $19, 030 on the streets of the capital’s business district. It turns out that she wanted to give away the money to the strangers to prevent her ex-husband from taking it away.
However, the only people allowed to pick up the money were the police officers who immediately responded to the scene.
