According to Krizette Laureta Chu’s cousin, a draft of an EO modifying President Trump’s Jan 25 EO says (Southern) Philippines may be next on the US travel ban.
“If signed, may add the following countries to the travel ban: Egypt, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Colombia, Venezuela, Southern Philippines, trans Sahari, and Sulu/Sulawesi Seas Littoral,” wrote Chu.
The Hammond Law group, believe that the new Executive Order will be published within the next two weeks.
“We have no choice but to suggest that nationals from these countries (without regard to their immigration status) refrain from traveling outside the US until such time as we know about this proposed EO. It is entirely possible that this information is inaccurate or incomplete, however, the severe consequences of being denied re entry into the United States would suggest extreme caution is justified at this time,” reads the memo.
Check out the screengrab of the memo below.
Until the White House release the final EO, if you are currently in the US, it’s better to have a wait and see attitude. Otherwise, re-entering US soil might be problematic.
